Drury Plaza Hotel Milwaukee Downtown

We liked everything about our stay here. We were greeted and checked in by the sweetest girl, Angel. She lived up to her name. Her friendly demeanor and helpfulness were a good first impression. Glenn was another front desk employee who was an asset to the company with his friendliness and willingness to solve a problem. The room was nice and comfortable. The food was a real surprise and treat. The breakfast was hot and plentiful with REAL scrambled eggs, sausage patties, breakfast potatoes, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, plus all of the other things you find at a typical complementary breakfast buffet. What we weren't expecting was their happy hour! One night it was a taco bar with all of the fixings, another night it was pulled pork sliders with Mac and cheese, coleslaw, beans and salad, and another night it was chicken Alfredo and salad. Every night offered a different soup, hotdogs, chips and queso, and baked potatoes. To accompany all that, we were treated to 3 adult beverages as well. We saved a lot of money on meals while we were there! The manager (?) was present at the check in desk when busy, and in the dining room every morning bussing and cleaning tables. He was visible, busy, helpful and friendly. We were pleased with this hotel from the time we checked in until the time we checked out.

The location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do. We parked the car and were able to walk everywhere. The room was really nice with a large modern bathroom. The pool and hot tub were lovely. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed the free happy hour before we went to our show. But the best part was the staff. They were all SO friendly and helpful and we really felt welcomed. We would definitely stay there again!

The room was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Drury is right in the middle of downtown and it was close to Marquette, where our son goes to school.

Staying at the Drury Plaza really enhanced our concert road trip experience. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel had a FREE 5:30 dinner with free drinks. Breakfast was so great! Hotel is super secure with many places requiring your hotel key card to access. All of the staff we encountered, and we met a lot of staff, were warm and friendly. Hotel is also in an easy walk to the lake and the concert and festival venues. Being from a small town...I was worried about walking back after the concert. The streets were full of people and I have no issues walking back! Being able to walk to the concert and back saved us so much time, money, and worry about parking. The staff also had two full containers of ice water, one lime infused, for all of us coming back from the concert.

The location, the staff, the views from our room, instructions of how to get into parking were exceptional. The afternoon happy hour was really great our family got to spend a couple hours in there and just had such a good time enjoying ourselves with the complimentary drinks and having some food. If we hadn't been going out to dinner later, the complimentary food with happy hour would have been just right.Breakfast also was delicious.
